Chiefs 'grooming' future stars

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs youth coach Arthur Zwane admits that Glamour Boys are “grooming youngsters for the future”.

According to Kaizer Chiefs website, Zwane says Chiefs are completely focused on developing players talent.

“The SAB League is open for all ages,” said Zwane.

“However, at Chiefs we are focusing on our development players, keeping the average age at 18. We are grooming youngsters for the future.”

Zwane was speaking ahead of the development team’s fixture against Eldorado Park outfit Manats FC.

The SAB League is the fourth tier of domestic football and falls under Safa’s regional competition.

Amakhosi played their first league encounter last week, losing last weekend 3–1 to Jabulani Vultures.

“We are looking at collecting points, starting with the clash against Manats on Sunday,” assures the former Chiefs winger.

The match will be played at the Nike Centre, Pimville, in Soweto on Saturday, September 12.
