Chiefs deny Beckham interest

2012-11-22 20:40

Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs have denied wooing soccer superstar David Beckham amid rife speculation over his next move after leaving Los Angeles Galaxy.

"I don't know where that story comes from. We don't even have Beckham's contacts," Chiefs manager Bobby Motaung told AFP on Thursday.

The ex-England, Manchester United and Real Madrid player, 37, said he is looking for "one more challenge as a player", but has not decided where. Next month's Major League Soccer Cup final will be his last game for Galaxy.

Chiefs, who currently top the PSL, were touted as one of the clubs bidding for the star.

For the sake of club being well known and marketing itself oversea, then that will be good and if they will meet the players demands for coming here in South Africa. If he came here then it will seems Chiefs will be regularly on the news oversea because of him as soccer journalists will want to follow him to his club and check how he performs and report, so this means the club will then be well marketed oversea and can have a huge support to their games just for people wanting to see him in action.

I think that will be exelent if the managemement of Kaiser chiefes can sit on the table and think about Beckham 's interest in join the big team, let's accomodate him as you know that Australia is planning obout him and what he said, there's no other team like Manchester in England. He rather find himself playing for Manchester. Bobby Bobby let's bring some changes bra.
