Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the loan signing of Bafana Bafana striker Katlego Mphela from PSL rivals Mamelodi Sundowns on Friday.
Th club's official website reports that the 29-year-old Mphela will join the Amakhosi on loan until the end of the season, before his two-year contract becomes effective on 1 July.
'Killer' will join his new teammates at the club's Naturena training grounds on Saturday.
"The waiting game is over, I didn't know what was going to happen with the window period closing today.
"I wish to thank Mamelodi Sundowns for all the years that they have been good to me.
"I know the Chiefs supporters have been waiting for my arrival.
"I am not here to add numbers, I want to contribute and help Chiefs win more silverware," said Mphela.
Mphela has scored 50 goals in 122 appearances for the Brazilians, while finding the back of the net on 23 occasions, whilst garnering 53 caps for the national team.
