Chiefs are being 'hunted'

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper, Reyaad Pieterse, insist that Amakhosi “are the hunted” in the upcoming season.

Chiefs have just returned from a preseason camp held at the University of North West campus’ High Performance Centre.

The side goes into the new season as the league (Absa Premiership) and cup (MTN8) double champions.

“The pre-season camp went well. It gave us an opportunity to refresh our aims and objectives ahead of the coming season,” reflects Pieterse on the club’s official website.

“The camp is always good.

“We were able to restart our systems from where we left off last season.

“Wrapping up camp with a game in Swaziland reminded us of the challenges that lie ahead.

“We are the hunted this time around.”

Steve Komphela’s charges lost to Swaziland’s Mbabane Swallows on penalties in the King’s Super Cup.

“We remain focused on our aims and mission,” confirms Pieterse.

“The preseason is an opportunity to work hard because we plan to fight for the titles. Our aim is to win as many games as possible.”
