Cape Town - Following their victory over the University of Pretoria on Tuesday, Kaizer Chiefs require six points from their remaining four PSL matches to secure this year's Absa Premiership title.
Amakhosi picked up the three points at the Tuks Stadium thanks to Siphiwe Tshabalala's second half free-kick.
The Glamour Boys have opened up a 13-point lead atop the standings, with four matches remaining.
The closest challengers - and the only team now able to catch them - are defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns, who still have six matches to play, including a fixture on Wednesday against Bloemfontein Celtic (kick-off at 19:30).
Should they go on to win their remaining six matches, the Brazilians will end the season on 65 points, meaning Chiefs (who currently boast 60 points), will require six points to put the title beyond the reach of their fierce rivals.
Depending on the result of matches, the title race may already have been decided when the two sides clash on Wednesday, April 29 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
Should Stuart Baxter's men go on to lift the title, it will be their fourth league victory since the league's inception in the 1996/97 season.
