Celtic signs young striker

Cape Town - Bloemfontein Celtic have confirmed the signing of striker Tshepo Chaine from the Black Urbans on a two-year deal.

The Celtic management has been keeping an eye on his progress and after two weeks in their preseason training camp the clubs technical team has been impressed by Chaine, including head coach Ernst Middendorp.

The striker said that playing professional soccer has always been a dream of his and mentions that he will grab this opportunity with both hands.

“I am very excited to join such a big team as Celtic and am looking forward to making a mark in PSL football. Joining Celtic will serve as a motivation to the local youth” Chaine said.

Chaine is a local player, hailing from Botshabelo and the club claims the 18 year old has loads of potential.

Celtic takes on Bidvest Wits on August 1 in the MTN8 at the Bidvest Stadium.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
