Celtic ready for Usuthu test

Cape Town - Bloemfontein Celtic will be looking to pile more misery on AmaZulu when they lock horns at the Free State Stadium on Sunday.

Usuthu remain glued to the foot of the Premiership standings following Wednesday's 2-1 loss to Orlando Pirates, where the Durban side conceded the lead to eventually go down to two late goals from the Buccaneers.

That result left Steve Barker's men on nine points from their opening 17 top-flight matches to sit 10 points adrift of safety and staring automatic relegation squarely in the face.

Celtic, meanwhile, kicked off the second half of the campaign with a goalless draw against leaders Kaizer Chiefs, with the point doing little to ease their fears as the Free State outfit sit only three points clear of the bottom-two, making this weekend's clash of the utmost importance to both teams.

Neither club have any suspension concerns to worry about, although Keegan Ritchie and Musa Bilankulu are walking the yellow-card tight rope for Celtic as they are both one booking each away from picking up match bans.

AmaZulu are in a similar situation, with no fresh injury worries, but like Celtic, they have players on three yellow cards each, namely Bornwell Mwape, Kulegani Madondo, Sadate Akoriko and Tshepo Liphoko.
