Johannesburg - Bloemfontein Celtic have wasted a dominant attacking display as they stretched their PSL drought to seven straight games without a win.
Celtic struggled to finish off, after cracking the Maritzburg United defence, and were forced to settle for a goalless draw in Botshabelo.
The hosts dominated the first half, taking 12 shots at goal in the first 45 minutes, but were unable to capitalise on their multitude of attempts.
Lerato Manzini shunned their best chance of the game when he slid in on a through ball, with nobody to beat at the far post, but clipped the ball wide to the left.
They were unable to change their fortunes after the break, with the sides sharing the points.
"The opportunities we created were good," said Man-of-the-Match Clayton Daniels, who signed with Celtic two months ago.
"We need to concentrate in front of goals and put those balls away.
"We'll go back to the training ground and get those crosses in, and keep it going."
Despite failing to bag three points, Celtic climbed one spot to 10th in the league standings.
Maritzburg, who seemed satisfied to settle for a draw in a largely defensive display, dropped one position in the table to seventh.
