Ajax were unable to return to winning form in the league as they were held to a goalless draw by Maritzburg United on Saturday.

The Cape Town side has claimed 13 points from six home matches this season.

Roger de Sa's Urban Warriors are placed second on the Absa Premiership log with 18 points from 11 matches.

Celtic claimed a third win from their last four league matches when they defeated Chippa United 1-0 on Sunday.

The Bloemfontein side has recorded eight points from six away matches this season.

Phunya Sele Sele are placed eighth on the Absa Premiership log with 16 points from 11 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Ajax and Celtic have met in 24 league matches since 1999/2000.

Each side has nine wins to their name in the rivalry, while six matches have been drawn.

Ajax have won eight of their 12 home matches against Celtic, suffering just one defeat in the process.

Last season, the Urban Warriors won 2-1 in Cape Town, while Phunya Sele Sele claimed a victory by the same score line in Bloemfontein.

Kick-off is at 19:30 on Wednesday, November 26.
