Celtic CEO remains optimistic

Cape Town - Bloemfontein Celtic CEO, Khumbulani Konco, is confident that his team will produce a positive result when they play against Mpumalanga Black Aces at the Mbombela Stadium.

Phunya Sele Sele parted ways with coach Ernst Middendorp, which has sparked some panic amongst the local football fraternity.

However, Konco believes that his team will emerge from this situation virtually unscathed, suggesting that the trip to Mpumalanga will spark a revival of sorts during this campaign.

"We are very much aware that Aces have been performing greatly and playing them away makes it even more difficult for us," said Konco.

"But our resurgence depends on this game and our players are oozing with confidence.

We just need to eradicate any negative mentality and positively think about three points and nothing else," added the football administrator.

Bloemfontein Celtic are currently tenth in the Premiership standings, having accumulated 17 points this season. The club’s target of finishing within the top eight still seems realistic.

Kick-off is at 19:30.
