Cape Town - Bradley Carnell has come out in defence of Shaun Bartlett who was replaced as coach of Golden Arrows after securing instant promotion back to the PSL.

Serame Letsoaka was chosen to take over Abafana Bes'thende at the expense of Bartlett, a decision that has irked Carnell.
Carnell did not hold back when Sport24 asked his opinion on the matter.
“We don’t know the fine details. But if I have to just say a few words on that – it shows the problems with South African football,” he said.
“We are all complaining about South African football, saying that we want more young coaches to get involved, we want certain people to get involved.
“When they do get involved and do a job they get ousted.
“I think one word maybe is disgusting, it was not what Shaun deserved.
“He progressed and developed, he found his own niche and succeeded but it was just taken away from him.
“I chatted to him afterwards and obviously he’s very upset.
Bartlett and Carnell are both pundits on Supersport, the latter is currently head coach at the University of Johannesburg.
