Cardoso targets legend status

Cape Town - Newly-signed Kaizer Chiefs defender, Daniel Cardoso, admits he started shivering when he heard the club was interested in him, and wants to become an Amakhosi legend.

Unfortunately for Chiefs fans, they will not be able to see their new signing in action immediately as he is still recovering from injury, but his passion to succeed at the club cannot be questioned.

"Yeah, the feeling shook my body a bit and left me shivering; this is a big club in the country and the continent, I must say," Cardoso told KickOff.

"It's something I wanted to achieve, I want to adapt here and become a legend you know. I want to carry on and maybe finish my career here."

The defender is most well-known as a center-back but says he would be happy playing anywhere for Amakhosi.

"I'm comfortable anywhere to be honest, left, right or centre position but the centre has been my best position," he added.
