Cardoso returns to Chiefs training

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs have received a boost with the news that defender Daniel Cardoso has returned light training after an injury lay-off.

According to Football411, the Bafana Bafana international has been sidelined with a shin injury and has yet to feature for AmaKhosi in what has been a frustrating start to his career at the club.

Amakhosi confirmed that the 27-year old is expected to begin full training within three weeks after a returning to light training this week.

"With Cardoso, he's in the final stages of his rehab and then he'll come back for fitness," said Steve Komphela.

Komphela, who managed Cardoso during their time together at Ea Lla Koto, will be hoping to give the South African international his debut imminently as the reigning champions look to defend their PSL title.
