CAF hunt costing Bucs' in PSL?

Johannesburg - Following their poor start to the 2015/16 domestic season, Orlando Pirates midfielder Thandani Ntshumayelo says his team-mates are struggling to get their season up and running due to their tremendous run in the CAF Confederation cup.

Despite their impressive run yet again in the continental showpiece, the Buccaneers are currently on the bottom half of the Absa Premiership table, occupying the 12th spot after seven games played this season.

Ntshumayelo, 25, believes that his teammates are focused solely on winning the continental tournament which they will contest the final against Etoile Sportive Du Sahel of Tunisia late in a two-leg encounter next month.

“Bibo” also believes that the Buccaneers will definitely bounce back to find their fifth gear after the Confederation Cup final.

“I think the guys are still more focused on winning the CAF Confederation Cup for now” revealed Ntshumayelo.

“I have to be honest about that, that’s how I see it.

“And we are forgetting that we still have a job to complete domestically.

“But I believe that after playing the final next month, then things will change going forward as far as the domestic competitions are concerned.”
