Bukenya targets MTN8 glory

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs' utility man Ivan Bukenya has called on his teammates to take their winning mentality from the victory against SuperSport United into the MTN8 final next Saturday.

Amakhosi head into the final showdown in high spirits after their 4-1 demolition of fellow title rivals SuperSport at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.

After being handed a rare start in central midfield, Bukenya worked an impressive shift that helped keep the opposition threat down to a single goal.

The Ugandan wants more of the same when Chiefs take on Ajax Cape Town in the cup final at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

"We needed the three points to keep on pushing, it was a great win for us," Bukenya said after the game.

"It's a morale booster for the final and we hope to emulate what we did today in the final.

"At half-time we went back to the drawing board and the coach gave us tactics to follow in the second half after they changed their game-plan.

"In the second half we made sure that we did not concede more goals."
