Bucs were better - Pitso

Johannesburg - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane admits his side were lucky to earn a point against Orlando Pirates in an Absa Premiership match at Orlando Stadium on Wednesday night.

According to the soccerladuma website, Khama Billiat opened the scoring for the Brazilians before Lennox Bacela levelled matters for the home side to make it 1-1.

After that, however, Pirates dominated proceedings and missed numerous chances in front of goal.

“It was a game with two good teams and lots of missed opportunities,” said Mosimane.

“To be honest, they had more clear chances to score than us, but we were also dangerous on the break.

“It was a stalemate and you can never been unhappy to get a draw when you come here.

“We tried to play and we tried to win. We came to Orlando Stadium not to sit back.

“We drew first blood and I don’t know what happened when we conceded our goal, there were a lot of bodies, it was a scrappy goal.

“They played well, let’s give them credit.”
