Cape Town - Orlando Pirates have reportedly placed Platinum Stars goalkeeper Siyabonga Mpontshane at the top of their January transfer wishlist.
KickOff.com report that the Soweto giants are readying a fresh bid for Platinum Stars goalkeeper Siyabonga Mpontshane.
Mpotshane was named in Shakes Mashaba's squad to tackle Sudan and Nigeria and now is in line for a big move to one of Africa's leading clubs. (Read that story here.)
The same source report that the Sea Robbers have already failed in an attempt to lure Mpontshane to the Orlando club.
"Mpontshane has been discussed and the club will present the offer again" said a source close to the club.
Should Mpontshane make the switch to Orlando Pirates, he will compete with Brighton Mhlongo for the position of number one goalkeeper.
Mhlongo took over the role from the late Senzo Meyiwa for the Sea Robber Telkom Knockout semi-final against SuperSport United.
