Bucs legend offers Tinkler advice

Cape Town - Orlando Pirates legend, HelmanMkhalele, believes rotating the squad could be the answer to the Eric Tinkler’s side injuries woes and fatigue.

The Buccaneers have a lengthy list of players sidelined through injury with no less than five players nursing knocks.

Mkhalele reveals that rotation is what will diminish fatigue as the Pirates squad barely had time off due to CAF Confederation Cup commitments.

"The other two things that can answer to Pirates’ injury woes and fatigue, first of all, the coach must adapt a rotation system to rest his key players as well as training methods that will help their situation," Mkhelele told Sport24.

The legendary midfielder said it’s worrying that the team is already facing an injury crisis yet the league is yet to start.

"Of course its worrying because the season is only about to start, but the busy schedule in the CAF Confederations’ Cup has already taken its toll."

Mkhelele said the signs were there even in the Carling Black Cup that fatigue is already hitting the team.

"Honestly, I had big expectations on the team on Saturday, but they failed to live-up to it because of what we have been talking about which is fatigue."
