Johannesburg - Nedbank Cup winners Orlando Pirates are delighted at completing the signing of Issa Sarr from Platinum Stars.
The news was confirmed on the Buccaneers official website on Sunday, with club PRO Micky Modisane confirming to Sport24 that the former Chippa United man has signed a three-year deal with the club.
Sarr played a crucial role in guiding Dikwena to their MTN8 and Telkom Knockout successes during the early part of the 2013/2014 season.
Fans of the Sea Robbers will hope to see Sarr in action for the first time on July 26 when he is expected to line-up in the fourth annual Carling Black Label Cup, in which Pirates will face arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB stadium.
Sarr, who hails from Thies in Senegal also shared his delight.
"I am happy to have signed with Orlando Pirates," Sarr told the club's website.
"I look forward to joining my new teammates ahead of the start of the 2014/15 season and aim to have a successful stay at the club."
Sarr will bolster Pirates' midfield stock which already consists of stalwarts like Oupa Manyisa, Thandani Ntshumayelo and Lehlohonolo Masalesa.
