Bucks are well on their way to the PSL

Cape Town - Former Bush Bucks and Kaizer Chiefs player Patrick Mayo says that NFD promotion is a good sign for the Imbalala.

Mayo said that it would be great for the Eastern Cape to have two teams including Chippa United in the Absa Premiership.

“It is a good sign, they are on the right track,” Mayo told Sport24.

“But they must know one thing: The NFD is totally different to the Vodacom League.

“With good management they can make it to the PSL again.

Mayo said with the way Chippa have been playing since their opening game against Kaizer Chiefs, they will be well on their way to having a successful season.

“Absolutely, it would be lovely if we could have two teams from the Eastern Cape in the PSL.

“Chippa started very well, the confidence with which they played Kaizer Chiefs [in their opening PSL game] they need to keep that spirit going forward.

“The players that they have signed this season are totally different to the players that they signed last year.”
