Cape Town - Free State Stars and Bloemfontein Celtic will meet for an Absa Premiership derby at Charles Mopeli Stadium.

Stars suffered a third successive league defeat when they went down 1-0 away to Chippa United in their last outing.

The Bethlehem side has claimed eight points from six home matches this season.

Their next three league opponents are Mamelodi Sundowns, Black Aces and Kaizer Chiefs (all away).

Ea Lla Koto are placed 15th on the Absa Premiership log with 11 points from 12 matches.

Celtic saw their unbeaten run ended at four matches when they went down 1-0 away to Ajax Cape Town in their last outing.

The Bloemfontein side has claimed eight points from seven away matches this season.

Their next three league opponents are Bidvest Wits, Moroka Swallows (both home) and Black Aces (away).

Phunya Sele Sele are placed eighth on the Absa Premiership log with 16 points from 12 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Stars and Celtic have met in 46 league matches since 1986.

Ea Lla Koto have 14 wins compared to 13 for Phunya Sele Sele, while 19 matches have been drawn.

Stars have won 10 of their 23 home matches against Celtic down the years, suffering five defeats in the process.

Last season Phunya Sele Sele took four points off their rivals, drawing 2-2 at home in Bloemfontein before winning the away match 2-0.
