Boxall looks to add structure and stability

Cape Town - Michael Boxall hopes to add stability to SuperSport United in order for players to use their skill and creativity.

The New Zealand international revealed he is settling in well with his new club and appreciates the efforts of his teammates and coach Gordon Igesund to make him feel at home.

Matsatsantsa begin their season on Tuesday with an away trip to Bidvest Wits in the MTN8 competition.

SuperSport lost 4-0 to Crystal Palace in Boxall's debut for the club, with manager Alan Pardew suggesting South African players needed to improve their technical skills, but Boxall disagrees.

"The games seem to be a lot more open and free than back in Australia," he added.

"There's so many gifted and skillful players that like to express themselves on the ball, and we have a lot of players that can do damage.

"Hopefully I can add a bit of structure and stability at the back so that those players can do their thing."
