Motaung confirms Khune, Masango talks

Cape Town – Kaizer Chiefs Football Manager, Bobby Motaung, confirms that Itumeleng Khune and Mandla Masango are “playing hard ball”.

According to goal.com, Motaung admits to having talks with both Khune and Masango in order to lure the players back to Naturena.

"We have been talking to the players and they have been playing hard ball, and making ridiculous demands. In life you must humble yourself, and also be clear about what you want as a person,” said Motaung.

"A contract is a contract. I don’t know whether they are taking chances or whether they are trying their luck. This club has been there for them for so many years.

"They are playing mind games or trying to play hard ball, but it is affecting them, not us. We are moving on as an organization, we have a team that needs to be prepared."

Both players left the club at the end of June after their contracts expired and refused to sign a new deal tabled by Amakhosi.

Along with the duo was Tefu Mashamaite but the defender has since been in the United States trying to get a deal with an MLS team.
