Cape Town - Black Aces will be looking for their first win in five league games when they host SuperSport United at the Mbombela Stadium on Saturday (15:30 kick off).

AmaZayoni go into this weekend’s game in ninth position in the standings, while SuperSport are 12th, although just one point separates the teams, with Matsatsantsa only three clear of the relegation zone.

Clive Barker’s side will have been disappointed with their 1-1 midweek draw with lowly Platinum Stars, while the same could probably be said of Gordon Igesund’s team, who drew 2-2 with another struggling club, Free State Stars, despite leading 2-0 in the first half.

Barker will be looking for an improved showing at home during the closing few months of the season, with Aces having only managed eight out of a possible 27 points in Mpumalanga this term.

His team have, however, already managed to beat Matsatsantsa this season, winning 2-1 in Pretoria thanks to goals from Aubrey Ngoma and Collins Mbesuma.

Both teams have been hit with suspensions - Aces will be without Mbesuma as well as Lehlohonolo Nonyane, while the Pretoria outfit will be missing their newly signed striker, Kingston Nkhatha, who netted on debut in the 2-2 midweek draw with Stars.

SuperSport also have two key attacking players out injured - Daine Klate and Lebo Manyama, although Igesund still has plenty of midfield options in players such as Thuso Phala, Dove Wome and David Mathebula.

Mbesuma’s absence could potentially unlock the opportunity for on-loan Dino Ndlovu to make his AmaZayoni debut against the side he left in the January transfer window.

The likes of Clifford Ngobeni, Bongolethu Jayiya, Dennis Masina, Kwabena Adusei and Calvin Marlin however all remain sidelined with injury for the Mpumalanga club.
