Cape Town - Moroka Swallows have confirmed they have competed the signing of Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Luyolo Nomandela on loan until the end of the season.

The 25-year-old had been strongly linked with a move away from Tshwane during the January transfer period after failing to make any significant impact following his arrival from Free State Stars at the beginning of the campaign.

AmaZulu had been tipped as a potential destination for the midfielder, although Swallows CEO Leon Prins has revealed the Dube Birds have won the race for Nomandela signature.

"Yes, I can confirm that Nomandela has joined us until the end of the season," Prins is quoted as saying by KickOff, before adding they hope to bring in another new face before the close of the current transfer window.

"I think he is a good player and will do well for us. We are hoping to sign one more player before Friday."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
