Swallows suffered a second successive defeat since the restart of the league when they went down 2-1 at Polokwane City at the weekend.

The Soweto side has claimed eight points from 10 home matches this season.

Their next three league opponents are Platinum Stars (away), Free State Stars (home) and Black Aces (away).

The Birds are placed 14th on the Absa Premiership log with 19 points from as many matches.

Wits returned to competitive football in 2015 with a 2-1 win away to Maritzburg United earlier this month.

The Johannesburg side has claimed 15 points from 10 away matches this season.

Their next three league opponents are Mamelodi Sundowns, Bloemfontein Celtic (both home) and AmaZulu (away).

The Clever Boys are placed third on the log with 34 points from 19 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Swallows and Wits have met in 55 league matches since 1985.

The Clever Boys have claimed 23 wins compared to 17 for the Birds, while 15 matches have been drawn.

Swallows have won nine of their 27 home matches against Wits, suffering 10 defeats in the process.

When the teams met earlier this season, a brace from Kebede inspired the Clever Boys to a 3-0 home win.

Kick-off at 19:30 on Tuesday, February 17.
