Ajax Cape Town midfielder, Khama Billiat, has admitted his disappointment at the club’s recent loss, and has urged his teammates to believe in themselves.
The Urban Warriors currently find themselves in the PSL’s relegation zone after what has been a terrible season for a team that just two years ago were challenging for the league title.
Billiat and his teammates lost 3-1 to Mamelodi Sundowns in their most recent Absa Premiership encounter - see full match report here - and are now placed just three points ahead of bottom-of-the-table Chippa United.
The talented winger told the club’s website, “We are very disappointed at losing this game because we need the points. Everybody works hard at training and nobody wants to loose. We have got to believe in ourselves and keep playing for a win.
“I believe we can lift ourselves away from the relegation zone and that battle continues against Free State Stars.”
Should Ajax grab themselves a win against Ea Lla Koto, and Black Leopards lose against Platinum Stars, they will climb up out of the relegation spot.
