Bibo seeks redemption against Sfaxien

Cape Town - Thandani Ntshumayelo is confident Orlando Pirates can redeem themselves by beating CS Sfaxien in their CAF Confederation Cup encounter.

'Bibo' as he is known in the football fraternity, hopes that the Buccaneers can bounce back from their disappointing 1-0 loss to Ajax Cape Town in a MTN8 Cup quarter-final on Wednesday, August 4.

Eric Tinkler’s side were dumped out of the lucrative competition by Ndiviwe Mdabuka's late goal to ensure the Urban Warriors secure a semi-final spot.

"It is always very bad when the team is knocked out of a competition," Ntshumayelo told Sport24.

"We should put it behind us and focus on redeeming ourselves in the CAF Confederations Cup against Sfaxien on the weekend.

"This means that we will have fewer titles to compete for and it is not good for a big team like Pirates."

However, the midfielder said the team can forget the disappointment by getting good results against the Tunisian’s side and boost their chances of conquering the continental competition.

Kick-off is at 20:15 on Saturday, August 8.
