Cape Town - National First Division top scorer Phumelele Bhengu is set to make the switch to the Premiership next season, with a move to a Gauteng club seemingly on the cards.

The Thanda Royal Zulu marksman impressed in the 2014/15 NFD campaign after topping the scoring charts with 22 goals, the highest tally in 10 years in the second tier, and far superior to the Premiership's top scorer Moeketsi Sekola, who scored 14.
The 25-year-old Bafana Bafana striker has since confirmed that negotiations with an unspecified Gauteng-based outfit are under way as he prepares to make the step up to South Africa's premier division.
"I want to play in the next level, face new challenges and see if I can do better than I did in the NFD. My agent is busy talking to a team in Gauteng," Bhengu told KickOff.
"I am happy that I won the top goal scorer award but at the same time I am sad that my team didn't qualify for the play-offs.
"I want to thank the chairman of Thanda, the manager Thabani Gumede, the technical team, players and the entire staff at Thanda and without their support I would not have won this award."
