Cape Town - Bidvest Wits have been earmarked as one of the teams who will be fighting for the league title this season and that had been confirmed by defender Onismor Bhasera.
The 29-year-old told Sport24 that the Clever Boys are indeed challenging for the Absa Premiership title.
"Yes, we will be challenging for the league title just like any other team would want to," Bhasera said.
"We also want to win other trophies as well this season but we are not putting ourselves under pressure at all to do that.
"We will just play our normal game and one game at a time as we challenge for the league title.
"We have build a team that is capable of doing that and we are working together as a team."
Meanwhile, Wits are set to take on Ajax Cape Town in the second leg of the MTN8 Cup semi-final on Saturday, August 30.
Kick-off is at 15:00.
