The defending champions moved three points ahead of closest rivals Mamelodi Sundowns with a 2-1 win over Jomo Cosmos on Easter Monday.
But with Downs, who have a game in hand, and Soweto neighbours Kaizer Chiefs and Moroka Swallows four and six points off the pace respectively, Bester is determined to help Bucs dominate their final six matches.
"I am happy that we are on top of the log, but there is still a lot to be played for," he told the club's official website.
"Now we have to try collecting three points in every match we play."
The Namibian ace netted a stunning last-gasp winner to sink Ezenkosi at Orlando Stadium, and revealed he had a premonition he would score.
"I read the game well and I was waiting for my chance," he explained.
"Cosmos defended a bit deep and they made it easier for us to press them in their own half. After coming in, I was looking for that opportunity to shoot from the edge of the box, and when my chance came, I just had to take it.
"I somehow had this feeling that the ball was going straight in the back of the net even before I took the shot.
"I had full contact with the ball which could only have gone on target. I am glad to have scored. I was brought in to add value and I just did that. In the end we won three valuable points and we have now to keep fighting until the end."
