Benni: This one's for the fans

Johannesburg - Orlando Pirates striker Benni McCarthy hopes to give the Ghost something to talk about for months to come when they take on Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.

According to football411.com website, the first Soweto derby of the new PSL season takes centre-stage this weekend, with leaders Chiefs heading into the match with a three-point advantage over the Buccaneers.

McCarthy, who made his return from two months out with a hamstring strain on Wednesday, said: "The derby is the talk of the country. It's the two biggest teams, first and second on the log. It will be a very good encounter."

He added: "Hopefully we will able to give people the spectacle they would have come to witness. We are confident we will come out victorious in this one."

Speaking of his return from injury, which came as a substitute in the goalless draw against Chippa United in midweek, McCarthy added: "It feels so good to be back, I missed being on the field.

"It was a nice run but unfortunately we didn't get what we came here for. Overall, it was a good test before the big one."
