Cape You - Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter says his players must enjoy themselves when they compete in one of the biggest fixtures on the African football calendar, which kicks off at the FNB Stadium.

Chiefs have enjoyed a highly successful run against Pirates during the past three years and they still have a healthy cushion in the Premiership standings.

Naturally the expectations ahead of this weekend’s clash are exceedingly high but Baxter refuses to be drawn into that.

The fixture also comes just days after Chiefs beat Ajax Cape Town 1-0 at the FNB Stadium and the expectation is that the club will build on that this weekend.

"To have to play a game against Ajax Cape Town on a Wednesday - sandwiched between an African Champions League match and a Derby - is not easy," said Baxter ahead of the highly anticipated Soweto Derby.

"However, we got the three points. Now we should enjoy the match (against Pirates) on Saturday," he added.

Kick-off is at 15:30.
