Cape Town - Stuart Baxter has wished Kaizer Chiefs well for the 2015/16 season and reveals that he plans on diving straight back into a job.

According to Soccer Laduma, Baxter is looking forward to heading straight into a job and that he confirms that he was set to take a break.

Baxter and his agent, Steve Kapeluschnik, are in advanced negotiations with Turkish Super Lig club, Genclerbirligi.

“I wasn’t planning to dive straight back in to work but thought that a one-year contract allows me to work and also decide what the next step for me will be,” said Baxter.

Kaizer Chiefs chairman, Kaizer Motaung, confirmed last week that Baxter will no longer be the head coach of the Naturena club.

The 70-year-old revealed at Amakhosi's press conference that both parties came together and agree that Baxter's contract be "terminated".

Baxter led Amakhosi to the MTN8 Cup and the Absa Premiership in the 2014/15 season. With one-year still left on his Chiefs contract, the Scot said he would return to Sweden to rest after a long season.

“I would like to thank the fantastic supporters of Kaizer Chiefs and of course the players, who acted so amazingly to me,” said Baxter.

“I wish them well for the season ahead and look forward to seeing everyone in this wonderful country at some stage in the future.”
