Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter has heaped praise on the club's fans after they backed Kingston Nkhatha during AmaKhosi’s 2-1 victory over Free State Stars in Polokwane.

Baxter was quoted ahead of the match as hitting out at the Chiefs fans who have been booing some of the Englishman’s selection policies this season, especially with regards to Kingston Nkhatha, the striker having failed to convince all the supporters of his worth yet.
Baxter was thrilled to see a positive response from the not only the supporters, but the player himself, who score the opening goal at the Peter Mokaba Stadium and was also named Man of the Match.
"The Free State Stars game was a tricky one because of all the hype about Kingston Nkhatha and the booing of him by a section of our supporters," Baxter told the club’s official website.
"Kingston was magnificent tonight," Baxter continued. "The crowd was also magnificent. Even when Kingston failed to score early in the match, they supported him.
"It seems that what happened on Saturday had an effect on the crowd.
“Because even that small section of the crowd that wasn’t supportive earlier, tried hard to cheer him on tonight, whatever happened on the field.
"The atmosphere was brilliant. And Kingston deservedly won the Man of the Match award."
