Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs head coach Stuart Baxter says he will not be handing out starts and game time to squad players just for the sake of it.

Despite already being crowned Premiership champions, Baxter revealed he still wants to win all of their remaining fixtures and insists he will only select players who have earned their place in the first team.

"Every game, we want to win it. If I believe Siphelele Mthembu is a good choice to win that game, he will play," Baxter told KickOff.

"We have a policy, we don't do favours. We don't do rotations on 'it's my turn' basis. Whenever you pull on a shirt, you know you've earned it.

"You earn the right to play. Brilliant Khuzwayo had a problem in the family, he had to stay when we went to Morocco and someone came in and did well.”

Chiefs come up against Sundowns, Bidvest Wits and Chippa United in their final three games of the season and will be handed the Premiership trophy at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium after their final fixture on 9 May.
