Johannesburg - Stuart Baxter is looking forward to yet another Soweto derby as Kaizer Chiefs comfortably knocked out Platinum Stars in the MTN8 semi-final.

Speaking to the club's official website, Baxter explains how “pleased” he is with the result and the performance from The Glamour Boys.

“We knew what sort of game to expect,” said Baxter.

“A tough hand was always in store here. I'm pleased in the way the players took to the field to win.”

“Maluleka's goal was worth waiting for. Very happy with the way the players approached the game. I am pleased with the results,” said Baxter.

“When we got the goal I think it was difficult for them mentally and we got more and more chances on the transition because they threw caution to the wind.”

Chiefs will now face Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates in the final on Saturday, September 20. The Buccaneers beat Bidvest Wits 5-1 on aggregate.

“It’s tremendous, it will be a great occasion,” said Baxter about the final.

“If we look at the derbies before, this one’s a cup final, so that will give it some extra spice.”

“It’s a special occasion, especially for South African football.”

The venue and kick-off times are still to be announced.

With another mouth-watering Soweto derby on the cards, who do you think has edge and will be crowned MTN8 Champions?
