Baxter and Masango honoured

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs' fine early season form has been rewarded when the PSL announced the August player and coach awards.

August was a great month for Kaizer Chiefs as the Soweto giants managed to go undefeated in the PSL as well as making into the final of the MTN8 Cup where they will face arch-rivals Orlando Pirates.

The Glamour Boys currently sit atop of the PSL log with five wins from five games and thus it came as no surprise when coach Stuart Baxter was awarded with the PSL's Manager of the Month award for the month of August.

Mandla Masango has taken his chance in the starting lineup with both feet as he has proven to be. Masango was rewarded with a call up to the national team following a string of excellent performances.

Masango's has three goals to his name in the PSL so far and the player will no doubt be delighted with the award of the PSL Player of the Month award for August.
