Baxter: We got sloppy

Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter was not happy with the way his side switched off in the final few minutes of their 2-1 win over Black Leopards on Wednesday.

Amakhosi made hard work of the game, despite taking the lead early on through a penalty from Bernard Parker. Siphiwe Tshabalala doubled their tally but a late goal from Abbas Amidu made the hosts sweat.

"I was really apprehensive about this game. The way the game came about, what we've had to do before the game. I thought the players did a good job initially, but I thought we got a bit sloppy. We turned the ball over much too much," he said.

"We are lucky that the defenders defended quite well and we had a good goalkeeper.

"In the second-half, we created more chances and if we'd have put one of those to bed earlier, I think we could have had a much easier evening.

"We scored (a second), but then unfortunately we switched off and allowed the last five minutes to be exciting. The crowd and viewers may like it, but the coach doesn't like it."
