“The camp was good and we met all aspects of what we
intended,” said Baxter following Amakhosi’s returning from Stellenbosch on
Monday morning.
Chiefs were in Cape Town from the January 27 to February 2,
where they held their midseason-break camp ahead of the PSL programme resuming
next week.
“The weather was good,” continued Baxter.
“The facilities were conducive for good preparation. The fields
and accommodation were all favourable for hard work.”
“The players worked very hard and are now looking forward to
the restart of the league programme,” adds Baxter.
The Glamour Boys engaged in two practice matches on
Saturday, January 31 playing against NFD sides Cape Town Stars and Milano
United.
“We split the Team in two to afford every player 90 minutes
of action.”
“We are left with bringing everybody up to speed when the
Bafana Bafana players reunite with us tomorrow,” concluded Baxter.
Kaizer Chiefs will resume their league programme by
travelling to Free State Stadium to play against Bloemfontein Celtic.
The match is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, February
11.
Kick-off is at 19:30.
