Bartman and Khune have a relationship that stems back to when the pair were the top two shot stoppers at Naturena, with Khune the regular first-choice while Bartman deputised with aplomb on various occasions.
With his contract at AmaKhosi coming to an end next month, Khune has been rumoured to be on his way out of the Soweto club, with reports heavily linking him with a sensational move to rivals Mamelodi Sundowns.
Bartman, though, has told Khune to forget the hype surrounding his future and make a decision that will be to the best interests of his career as a professional footballer.
"He (Khune) needs to make the right decision for him whatever that may be. Personally, I think Europe is the only move that makes sense," Bartman told Soccer Laduma.
"I know people make an issue of his height but I believe he can compete at the highest level.
"Look, it's difficult to imagine Itu playing for a different club, but ultimately that's a decision he must make for himself.”
