Cape Town - Lamontville Golden Arrows coach Shaun Bartlett insists he will remain at the club despite Abafana Bes'thende having been relegated from the PSL at the end of last season.
Bartlett took over at Arrows halfway through the season after manager Mark Harrison was axed. And although he couldn't avoid relegation to the National First Division, he did show enough signs of improving the team to make him stay on.
According to supersport.com website, Bartlett made a public statement via Twitter.
“I will be at Arrows next season,” Bartlett tweeted.
“Rebuilding will be tough but it's a good challenge.”
The former Bafana Bafana striker will have a huge job on his hands, as the Arrows side looks destined to fall apart with many players departing and others, who have been on loan, returning to their mother clubs.
The club has invested heavily in their development sides in recent years though and it is from there that Bartlett will seek to build a squad capable of returning to the top-flight.
