Baloyi set for January exit?

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Lucky Baloyi is set to be loaned out during the January transfer window, according to reports.

'Sheriff', as he is affectionately known in the soccer fraternity, spent last season on loan at Moroka Swallows but Steve Komphela recalled the player to give him a fair chance at an Amakhosi career.

"Yes, they have decided that they will loan out Lucky in January,” said an unnamed source as quoted by Soccer Laduma.

"They want to give him more game time and he should come back with more experience.

"It's tough for him mainly in his position so they want him to be at a team where he will have the chance to play again like he did last season when he was loaned out at Moroka Swallows. But now since the registration is closed he can only be loaned in January," the source concluded.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
