Cape Town - Golden Arrows will be assessing a few international players within the next two weeks as the newly promoted side prepare for life in the Absa premiership.
According to a source close developments at the club, newly appointed coach, Serame Letsoaka, is currently assessing the squad that was previously coached by Shaun Bartlett before making any additions.
“I can tell you that there have been international players who were recently playing in the COSAFA Cup that will be coming for trials at the club,” the source told Sport24.
“The other agenda that has been negotiated is that of assistant coach as well as the goalkeeper coach as Letsoaka wants to bring his own people.”
Arrows did not retain Bheka Phakathi and Arthur Bartman, who occupied the two roles under Bartlett.
The source further said that Letsoaka wants John Tlale as his goalkeeper coach and either David Vilakazi or Themba Sithole to complete his technical team.
“Arrows has their own option as far as the two positions are concerned, but I can tell you that the team could even go beyond our borders for the assistant coach as Serame has worked with a number of coaches outside the country while on assignments for CAF and FIFA,” said source.
