Johannersburg - A second man was arrested for allegedly vandalising the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto last week, police said on Sunday.

Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said police expected more arrests soon, as they were using CCTV footage to identify those involved.

Last Sunday, soccer supporters broke a fence and vandalised the stadium when Moroka Swallows beat Mamelodi Sundowns.

Sundowns supporters tore down the stadium’s security fence and stormed the pitch.

The first arrest was made on Saturday.

The two men would appear together at Protea Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, where they would face charges of trespassing and malicious damage to property.

A severe should be meted to each and every thug arrested and have their photos taken and framed in a giant portrait and posted all over the stadiums and shopping malls. Then inscribe the words:\worst scum-bags, a pathetic excuse for a human-being masquerading as a soccer fan banned for life anywhere next to the stadium\. If seen immediately call the police. If you call yourself a soccer fan you are fully aware that in a soccer pitch there are 22 competing men each one wants to win. So what gives you a devine right to win at all cost? You may pray until the came crushing down to earth but that doesn't guarantee success. It is high time to nip this hooliganism from the bud. Period! Soccer is a family sport. This is clearly exhibited by some families who bring along some young kids. Soccer does not carry any disclaimer that states that parental guidance is advised, no under-age are allowed. Violence, nudity, foul language and prejudice is advised is not explicitly mentioned.
