Amakhosi out to serve Dikwena

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs will look to claim a third PSL win in the space of six days when they face Platinum Stars at Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Chiefs kept up their unbeaten run in the league with a 2-0 win over derby rivals Orlando Pirates on Saturday.

The Soweto giants have claimed 14 points from a possible 18 at home this season.

Their next three league opponents are Chippa United, Free State Stars and Black Aces (all home).

The Amakhosi are placed first on the Absa Premiership log with 36 points from 14 matches.

Stars claimed their first away league win since August when they defeated Moroka Swallows 1-0 on Saturday.

The Rustenburg side has claimed six points from seven away matches this season.

Their next three league opponents are Bidvest Wits, Chippa United (both home) and Free State Stars (away).

Dikwena are placed 13th on the Premiership log with 14 points from 12 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Chiefs and Stars have met in 23 league matches since 2003/04.

The Amakhosi have 10 wins compared to four for Dikwena, while nine matches have been drawn.

Chiefs have won four of their 11 home matches against Stars, suffering two defeats in the process.

The teams have met once already this season, with the Amakhosi claiming a 2-0 away win thanks to goals from Lebese and Letsholonyane.

Kick-off is at 19:30 on Tuesday, December 9.
