The ex-Bafana Bafana captain was very instrumental during the fight to remain in top flight football, but could not help Usuthu avoid the axe in the end.
Usuthu were automatically relegated from the ABSA premiership after finishing the 2014/15 at the bottom of the table.
Usuthu coach, Steve Barker, said his wish is to take all his key players with the club to the National First Division.
“I’m confident that all the senior players will remain at the club because we are going to need them to find our way back to top flight football,” Barker told Sport 24.
Asked about the future of Bafana Bafana left back, Marc Van Heerden, Barker said he remains adamant the defender will stay at the club and as far as he knows, there are no offers for the player.
“Certainly, I want him to remain at the club as he is one of our experienced players and can help the team bounce back quickly,” said Barker.
“Look, at this stage I cannot say who is staying and leaving, but all the major announcements will be made next week,” he said.
