University of Pretoria extended their unbeaten run in the league to seven matches when they defeated Black Aces 2-1 at home.

The Tshwane side has claimed 12 points from 10 home matches this season.

Their next three league opponents are Platinum Stars (home), SuperSport United and Bloemfontein Celtic (both away).

AmaTuks are placed ninth on the Absa Premiership log with 26 points from 20 matches.

Maritzburg saw their winless streak extended to seven matches when they were held 0-0 at home by Free State Stars in their last outing.

The KwaZulu-Natal team has claimed 10 points from nine away matches this season.

Their next three league opponents are Kaizer Chiefs (home), Platinum Stars (away) and SuperSport United (home).

The Team of Choice is placed 10th on the log with 24 points from 20 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Tuks and Maritzburg have met in five league matches since 2012/13.

The Team of Choice has claimed one win, while the remaining four matches all ended in draws.

The Tshwane team’s two previous home matches against United ended in a 1-1 draw and 3-2 win for the away side.

When the teams met earlier this season in Pietermaritzburg, they played out a goalless stalemate.

Kick-off is at 15:30 on Sunday, March 8.
