Akpabio wins car from Chippa

Cape Town - Chippa United have announced on-loan striker George Akpabio as their player of season for their 2013/14 campaign.

George Akpabio was confirmed as the club chairman's choice for the Chippa "Player of the Season" award.   

According to the club'swebsite, Nigerian striker George Akpabio was awarded a new Kia Cerato and R50 000 cash for his efforts last season.

Akpabio, on loan from Ajax Cape Town, was the Chilli Boyz leading scorer last season with 13 goals.

“With his positive attitude on and off the field it was easy for me to make the decision” said the club's chairman Sivwe Mpengesi.

The car is valued at approximately R248 000 according to Kia's website.
