Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town have signed attacking midfielder Erwin Isaacs on a two-year contract following his release by Bidvest Wits.
The 28-year-old was training with the club while he waited for his clearance from his former club, as he was keen to move back to Cape Town following a successful loan spell with the Urban Warriors last season.
He has been handed the number 20 jersey by the club, and is expected to feature when Ajax lock horns with Polokwane City on Saturday, September 12.
Commenting on the capture of Isaacs, Ajax Cape Town CEO Ari Efstathiou told the club's official website: "Although approached by numerous PSL clubs, Erwin knew there was no better club for him to pursue his career with and we are excited to have him back in our squad."
Isaacs who previously worked with Roger De Sa at Santos, scored 51 goals in 158 games before earning a lucrative move to Bidvest Wits in 2012.
